This Paleo version of typical muesli breakfast recipe is different in many ways. It contains beneficial nuts and seeds to give you energy and minerals, while the dried fruits provide just enough sweetness and flavor. Nuts and seeds are important for digestion and bowl movements.

It provide minerals that you cannot get in other foods, as well as being tasty and great to use as a snack as well. As raw honey is unprocessed, you avoid any refined sugars, making this a far healthier breakfast than packaged cereals.

  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup coconut shavings
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp dried cranberries
  • 1/5 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp raw honey (optional)

How to make Paleo Muesli?

  1. Mix all the nuts together. Reserve a handful and place remainder in a dry pan.

  2. Toast the nuts for 2 minutes. Place in a food processor and pulse for 7 seconds, so that they still retain some texture.

  3. Place them in a bowl and add chopped dried cranberries and coconut shavings.

  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and mix well. If desired, sprinkle remaining whole nuts over the top. Add warm coconut milk and garnish with cinnamon.

  5. If you prefer your breakfast sweet, add 1tsp of raw honey to the nuts before you add the coconut milk.
