Many people miss pasta when they switch to a Paleo diet, but this doesn’t have to be a problem. We keep forgetting that a good sauce is the thing which gives great flavor to pasta dishes.

The world famous Bolognese sauce combined with steamed zucchini noodles is very Paleo friendly. It will give the same effect, and at the same time, you will enjoy a healthy, light, yet satisfying lunch.

Paleo Spaghetti Bolognese

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup grass-fed ground beef
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp red paprika powder
  • Himalayan salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 large zucchini (striped into noodles by using a spiralizer)
  • Optional: 4tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

How to make Paleo spaghetti Bolognese?

  1. Chop the onion and garlic and sauté them in olive oil for 3 minutes.

  2. Add the ground beef and spices. Stir well until the meat turns brown.

  3. Now add tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes.

  4. Start adding beef broth, little by little. Turn the heat off and leave the sauce aside.

  5. Using a spiralizer, create thin zucchini noodles and place them in a metallic drainer.

  6. Place the drainer in a pot with boiling water for 10 seconds. Drain the zucchini and cover it with the sauce.

  7. In the end, sprinkle with a lot of chopped parsley leaves, if desired.
